Q.What does it cost to have a Fantasia Party in my home?
A. Nothing!
There is no direct charge to you for hosting a party; in fact, as a Fantasia consultant, part of my job is to make your Fantasia party pay you! I make my money entirely from the sales commission on goods sold at your party. For hosting the party, you can earn free gifts when sales reach certain levels and, no matter what, you get 10% of the value of your guests' purchases as a credit toward your own purchases. We don't ask for a deposit or a minimum order but, naturally, we do hope that you will do your part to make the party as successful as possible for everyone.

Q. How much time does a Fantasia party take?
A. That depends on a couple factors.
First, there's the presentation. Since our products really aren't as self-explanatory as some home party products, a Fantasia party begins with a sit-down product presentation. Your Fantasia consultant will show you each product, explain a bit about what it's for, how it's made and, in some cases, we'll pass around samples for everyone to feel or sniff or taste. Including a break in the middle, most presentations will take 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on how attentive the guests are.
Second, there's shopping time.
Guests make their purchases in private, one at a time, so the total time will depend on the number of guests and on how quickly they complete their purchases. I usually figure about 10 minutes per guest. Altogether, for a party with 8 guests, you can expect the event to last 3 to 4 hours.

Q. When would be the best time for me to have a Fantasia Party?
A. Week nights, actually!
In my experience, week nights are the time when guests are most available, least likely to change their plans and not in a hurry to go somewhere else after. They tend to be less "festive" than they might be on a Friday or Saturday night so they pay more attention to the presentation. As a result, the presentation goes faster and sales are higher. As a rule, we try to start by 7:00pm to 7:30pm.
In spite of that, weekend evenings are the most popular dates, so they are also the first to fill up on my booking calendar. I also often book parties for weekend afternoons.
Long holiday weekends are worst. I recommend against booking parties on a long weekend unless your guests are coming from out-of-town specifically to come to the party and shop. These weekends have the worst record for last-minute cancellations as potential guests make other plans for travelling or attending family events.

Q. How far ahead should I book my party?
A. The sooner the better, really!
Friday and Saturday are the most "in demand" evenings, especially for mixed parties, so they are usually booked first. (Remember, there's only 4 of each in most months!) Through most of the year, I am booking at least two months ahead for weekends. Valentine's Day weekends are especially popular (surprise!) and are always booked up months in advance. For a weeknight party, I can usually fit you in within a few weeks and, as I said above, these are usually the most successful parties, too. If you do have a specific date and time in mind, please call as soon as possible.
In any case, if I can't accommodate your timing myself, I will find you another consultant who is available for your date.

Q. Are there any men working as Fantasia Party consultants?
A. Yes, there are!
This is a fairly recent development for Fantasia but the men who have taken our training and committed to our business plan are doing very well, thank you! I'm proud to say that our first male consultant was a man that I recruited myself. People who booked with our male consultants say they have been very knowledgeable, lots of fun and make everyone comfortable whether it's a ladies-only or mixed party.

Q. Is a Fantasia Party "x-rated?"
A. Let's say "adult" but not "hardcore!"
Our policy is to restrict attendance to guests aged 18 and over. Obviously, many products featured at a Fantasia party are of a distinctly "adults-only" nature and there's lots of talk about sexually-oriented topics. But, as much fun as we have, this is clearly and purely a sales presentation -- we don't do any actual demonstrations and guests are encouraged to remain fully clothed until they get home to try out their purchases!
Our training programs teach Fantasia consultants to make their presentations informative, entertaining and tasteful. We take pride in ensuring that no one's sensitivities are offended by the way we present our products. If you have young children in the house, however, it's best if you can arrange to have them entertained away from the presentation room.

Q. Are men welcome at a Fantasia Party?
A. It's up to you!
And up to your consultant. Most often, the person hosting the party decides whether the party is for "ladies only" or for couples and mixed guests. Fantasia also allows its consultants to decide on the kind of parties they are personally prepared to do. Some consultants do choose not to do mixed parties. Personally, I have no trouble presenting to all kinds of gatherings including all ladies, mixed couples and/or gay groups.

Q. Do you have anything for my gay friends at a Fantasia Party?
A. We have something for everyone!
To tell the truth, I find that almost everything we offer can appeal to gay customers and their lovers as much as straight couples. If you browse through my web catalog, you will find some items of more interest to women and some of more interest to men, regardless of orientation. It's all about personal preference! Q. How long does it take for my order to be delivered?
A. How about right now?
Most of the time, you only wait as long as it takes me to bag your order for you! Fantasia really is the sex shop that comes to your home. Our "pay tonight, play tonight" policy means Fantasia consultants bring their entire store to the party - not just samples! I usually replenish my stock from Fantasia a couple times a week and keep multiples of all our most popular items on hand. In some cases, of course, it's possible that I'll be out of stock on a particular item, especially if your friends get into the sales room ahead of you. In that case, I'll let you know what the probable delivery time will be - usually less than 10 days.
If I can't deliver your purchases on the night of your party, I won't charge anything extra for shipping.

Q. If I host a Fantasia party, what preparations am I expected to make?
A. Please keep it simple.
All you really need to do is arrange a circle of seating (so guests can pass around samples easily) and designate a bedroom or private sales space where guests can make their purchases. And please reserve a parking space close to the door for me so I can carry in my stock bins.
We strongly recommend that you keep snacks and drinks to a minimum until the sit-down presentation is over. The flavour of snacks will interfere with the tastes and scents of many of our products. Alcohol tends to interfere with guests' attention span. If they keep leaving their seats to refresh drinks, the presentation takes longer than it needs to. If the party gets too late, some guests may run out of time to shop!
I suggest you make sure everyone has a drink in hand (alcohol or not) at the beginning and then freshens it up at break. There will be plenty of time to chow down after the presentation, while your guests take turns in the sales room.
